Davis Golf Classic

WV Caring is hosting the 30th Annual Dr. D.R. Davis Golf Classic at the Preston Country Club, September 9. Tee Times 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Individual and Team registrations available call 864-0884 or 1-800-350-1161. Register on-line at www.wvcaring.org or email Kim Riley, at kriley@wvcaring.org.

Cakewalk

There will be a cakewalk at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Courthouse Square sponsored by Parsons Chapter #91 Order of the Eastern Star.

Free Friday

Free Friday will beat the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on August 31, at 6 p.m. Sandwiches, including BBQ pulled pork, salads, baked beans, chips, desserts, and drinks will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Snorkle the ‘Shoe

Friends of the Cheat and the US Forest Service will host an event for Tucker County 4-H at Horseshoe Run, Saturday September 8. Guides will teach you how to snorkel, local fish ecology, and how healthy forests protect Horseshoe Run and the Cheat River. No prior snorkeling experience required.
