Evangelical Revival

Evangelical Revival will be on September 12 through 14 at 7 p.m. at the Davis United Methodist Church, on 4th Street and Thomas Ave., Davis. Rev. Henry Miller will be the lead speaker, accompanied by the gospel musical team of Joyce Igo and Steven Nichols. Everyone is welcome.

All You Can Eat Soup and Salad Dinner

All you can eat soup and salad dinner from 4 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Family Life Center at Maple Springs Church, in Eglon. Adults $9; children 10 and under $4; pre-school free. Sponsored by Maple Spring Youth Group.

Full Board Meeting

The Region VI Workforce Development Full Board will meet Thursday, Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau located in Fairmont. Mountaineer Garden Club Anniversary

The 60th Anniversary of the Mountaineer Garden Club will be Thursday, Sept. 6, from 4-6 p.m. at Piccolo Paula’s. Light refreshments will be served and door prizes will be available. Everyone welcome.

DWD evening of fellowship and fun

On Monday, September 10, at Parsons Senior Center at 6 p.m. DWD participants are invited to return for a fun filled evening of fellowship and continued education.
Bring a diabetic friendly covered dish to share with the group. If you submit your recipe a head of time they will be compiled and made available for everyone to take home.
The guest speaker will be Karen Bright, WVU Extension Service Nutrition Outreach Instructor and she will be sharing healthy alternatives while cooking.
FREE A1c testing.

Friends of Cortland Acres meeting

The Friends of Cortland Acres will meet on Monday, September 10 at Noon with the Annual Volunteer Picnic in the courtyard of Cortland Acres. Bring a covered dish. For more information, call Marie Grafton, Activity Director at (304) 463-4181 ext. 218.

Retired School Employees meeting

Tucker County Retired School Employees regular monthly meeting is Thursday, Sept. 13, at noon at Little Andi’s Restaurant. Discussions include insurance and retiree benefits. All retired school personnel are invited.

Historical Society Meeting

The Tucker County Historical Society will meet Sunday, Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Tucker County Historical Society Museum in the Tucker County Annex at 501 Chestnut St. Visitors welcome.

Library Board of Trustees Meeting

The next meeting of the Mountaintop Public Library Board of Trustees will be held at the library on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 5: p.m. The meetings are open to the public

The exhibition Birds as Bellwether, will open Saturday, Sept. 8 through Sept. 29 at the Aurora General Store in Aurora. The exhibition is open weekends 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and during the week by appointment. Combined with her art will be a series of wooden bowls of local wood by expert millwork craftsman Michael McClintock. Opening reception from 3- 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8
