National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer will be Thursday, May 2, at
Tucker County Courthouse Steps at Noon. Public is invited to attend.

Grief Support Group

Mountain Hospice will be holding a six week long
Grief Support Group, called “Comfort Cafés”, focused on the grieving process and findings ways to cope.
This service is free to the public, giving individuals who have experienced a loss an opportunity to talk, share stories, and learn ways to cope. The Comfort Cafés will be held at the Mountain Hospice Office, located at: 1002 S. Crim Avenue, Belington, WV. Meet at 6 p.m.on the following days: May 6, May 13, May 20, June 3, June 10, June 17. Executive Committee Meeting

The Region VI Workforce Development board Executive Committee will meet Thursday, May 9 from 10 – 11 a.m. at Region VI Workforce Development Board Office, 17 Middletown Road, White Hall. Ramp Dinner

Ramp Dinner at St. John’s United Methodist Church on Friday May 3 from 4 to 7 p.m.. Sponsored by St. John’s Youth Fellowship. Ramps, potatoes, corn muffins, beans, ham and dessert $10.

Pepperoni Roll Dinner

There will be a pepperoni roll dinner from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the Hendricks Free Methodist Church. Pepperoni roll, mac and cheese, baked beans, drink, dessert or chips. Take out or dine in. Donations go towards children’s church field trip.

STart Art Show

The STart Student Art Show and Reception is scheduled from 3:30 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 in the Davis Fire Hall. Voting will take place from 2 – 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Pro On Trac Park Art Class

Parsons Revitalization Organization (PRO) ON TRAC is hosting our third and final art class of the season on Saturday, May 4 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Five Rivers Library. FREE to all 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Space is limited, call Diana DeLuca, AmeriCorps Community Coordinator at 304 478-6009 or stop by the PRO ON TRAC office located in City of Parsons Business Office weekdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to reserve a seat.

Friends of Cortland Meeting

There will be a meeting of the Friends of Cortland Acres in the Gathering Room on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 1 p.m. For more information, call Marie Grafton at (304) 463-4181 ext. 218.

Parsons High School Alumni Association Meeting

The Parsons High School Alumni Association will meet on Wednesday, May 8, at the Tucker County Senior Center at 5 p.m. Final plans will be made for the annual PHS Alumni Banquet on Saturday, May 25, and your input is necessary for this event.

Retired School Employees Meeting

The Tucker County Retired School Employees will meet on Thursday, May 9, at noon at Little Andi’s Restaurant. Discussions will include current legislation and insurance benefits. All retired school employees are invited.
