Trunk R Treat

St. John’s United Methodist Church will have a Trunk R Treat celebration on October 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Smores will be given out along with treats for everyone.

Movie Night Monday

Movie Night Monday at Five Rivers Public Library, October 21 at 6 p.m., showing “A Dog’s Journey”, rated PG, 116 minutes.
Snacks and drinks. Free Community Event.

Hendricks UM Women’s Bazaar

Bazaar will be from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Hendricks UM Church. Soups, hotdogs, pulled pork, baked goods and crafts.

Food Handler’s Training Classes

Tucker County Health Department will have Food Handler’s Training Classes at the Senior Center, in Parsons, on Wednesday, October 23, at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Those persons attending the class will be issued a food handler’s permit which will be good for two years. A $10 registration fee will be collected upon admittance. The classes will start promptly, and late arrivals will not be admitted.

Immigrant History in Tucker County

Immigrant History in Tucker County with Hal Gorby, Oct. 27t at 2 p.m. at Cottrill’s Opera House. Free to the Public.

Free Friday

Free Friday will be October 25, at 6 p.m., at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Salads, sandwiches, baked beans, chips, desserts, and drinks will be served. Everyone is welcome. No donations accepted.

Spaghetti Dinner

The Maple Spring Church Youth Group is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren Family Life Center, Eglon. Cost of dinner is Adults $10; children ten and under $5; Preschool, free. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink, dessert.

BB Gun Shooting Contest

Canaan Valley Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting a BB gun shooting contest on Saturday, November 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canaan Valley Fire Hall. BB guns will be provided. This fun event will feature special kids prizes, gift certificates, and frozen turkeys.
