Sunday School Convention

The Sunday School Convention will be at St. George Park on sunday, July 10. Sunday School at 10:30 a.m., preaching service at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon. Programs of churches in the afternoon. Bring a covered dish. Everyone welcome.

St. John’s UM Church Vacation Bible School

St. John’s United Methodist Church invites all children Preschool through 8th Grade, to “Catch the Wave of God’s Amazing Love” at our Surf Shack Vacation Bible School.
VBS begins Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 107 River Street. VBS will close on Friday with a “Surf’s-Up Celebration” at 6 p.m., Closing Program at 7 p.m. followed with refreshments including a hot-dog dinner. For more information, call Rev. Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge Storytime

The Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge presents Storytime on Friday, July 8 at 10 am. The topic is “Butterflies”. We will read a book, do an activity and have snack.

Executive Board Meeting

The Region VI Workforce Investment Executive Board will meet Thursday, July 14 from 10:30a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Region VI Workforce Investment Board Office, 17 Middletown Road, White Hall. For more information about the meeting, contact Barbara DeMary at 304-368-9530.

Cakewalk, Saturday, July 9 at 6 p.m. at the Courthouse Square, sponsored by Parsons Lions Club. Weather permitting.

Mountaintop Public Library Board of Trustees meeting

The next bi-monthly meeting of the Mountaintop Public Library Board of Trustees will be held at the library on Thursday, July 14 at 5 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.

SUMMER CAMP SESSIONS

Summer camp, a four week program, from July 5 –July 28, three days per week, Tuesday- Thursday, from 8 a.m.- noon. The camp will be at Tucker Valley and Davis Thomas for students in K-4th grade. Transportation will be provided.
Contact the Tucker County Board of Ed. office or Valerie Eye at 304 621 2022. Return registration to the BOE by June 24.

Miles for Miranda walk/run

There will be a 5k run and 2 mile walk at 9 a.m. on Aug. 6 at Mill Race Park. Music will beprovided, registration fee is $10. Preregister and get a free T-shirt (t-shirts are not guaranteed to entrants who register same day). Registration form on www.tristateracer.com/event.php?RaceID=8713. Benefit Miles for Miranda.
