Candy Walk and Pumpkin Painting at Mill Race Park

The City of Parsons, PRO and the Parsons Park Board are sponsoring a free event for the children of Parsons. The first 50 children under the age of 12 will receive a free pumpkin to paint. Rocks will also be available for painting. Children of all ages can take part in the Candy Walk through Mill Race. Treats and snacks for all in attendance.
From 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, October 28 at Mill Race Park. Everyone welcome.

Trunk or Treat

St. John’s United Methodist Church will have “trick or treat” at our “Trunk or Treat!” The event will be held in the church parking lot on 107 River Street, Saturday, October 28 during the town trick or treating schedule from 6-8 p.m. Rotate through the decorated cars in our music filled parking lot for candy, and then visit our table for FREE coffee, hot cocoa, homemade smores, treats, and glow-in-the-dark necklaces. Everyone welcome.

Trick or Treat

The Town of Hambleton will have Trick or Treat from 6 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. Please leave porch light on to participate.

Trunk & Treat

Parsons Nazarene Church will be having Trunk & Treat, Saturday, October 28 at 5 p.m. We will also be giving out free hot dogs along with a drink. Everyone welcome.

Cookie for Sale

St. John’s United Methodist Women and Win-One Sunday School Class are baking raisin filled and peanut butter cookies for a $7 donation per dozen on Nov. 6 and 7. Call Linda Hockman at 304-478-3381 to place your order

Tucker County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

The meeting will begin a 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Flanagan Hill Community Center. Meat and drinks will be provided along with plates and utensils. Bring a covered dish a dessert would also be appreciated.

Evening Flu Clinics

The Tucker County Health Department will be holding Flu Clinics from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25 and 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30 at the Tucker County Health Department. Shots will be given to anyone 18 years of age and older. If you have Medicare, or insurance please bring your card, you will not be charged any co-pay. If you don’t have insurance, you can still receive a flu shot at no cost.

Free Friday

Free Friday will be held at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on October 27 at 6 p.m. A free meal consisting of various soups, sandwiches, desserts and drinks will be served. Everyone is welcome.
