National Day of Prayer

The Tucker County Commission will observe National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 3 8 11:30 a.m. at the Tucker County Courthouse steps. All are welcome to attend.

Parsons High School Alumni Association meeting

The Parsons High School Alumni Association will meeting on Thursday, May 3 at Little Andi’s Restaurant, in Parsons, at 5 p.m. We need your input. Any PHS alumni is welcome to attend.

Volunteers Needed for TVEMS Event

TVEMS is looking for VOLUNTEERS to sit in the dunk tank the last week of May. The event is to raise money to fix the playground/recess area at the school.

Yard Sale, Bake Sale and Hotdog Sale

There will be a yard/bake and hotdog sale from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at the First United Methodist Church, 101 First St. Parsons.

TC Retired School Employees Meeting

The Tucker County Association of Retired School Employees monthly meeting will be at noon on Thursday May, 10 at Little Andi’s Restaurant. All retirees are invited to attend. Discussions will include insurance and benefits. Members, bring your volunteer hours sheet.

WV Highlands Indivisible May events

Coffee Talk is Wednesday, May 2, 11 a.m., at Tip Top Coffee, in Thomas. The monthly meeting is Monday May 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Watson residence on Bonner Mt. Rd. For info call Mimi 304-478-3410. All welcome.

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Breakfast

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will breakfast from 7 – 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12 in the Social Hall. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, coffee, juice. Donations appreciated.

Student Art Show

The annual Student Art Show will be Sunday, May 6 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Davis Fire Hall on William Ave. Hours during which the Student’s projects can be viewed and the People’s Choice voted upon are Saturday, May 5 from 2 – 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 6 from 12 – 3:30 p.m. at which time the Art Show will begin.

Executive Committee Meeting

The Region VI Workforce Development Board Executive Committee will meet Thursday, May 10 from 10 – 11 a.m. at Region VI Workforce Development Board Office, 17 Middletown Rd. White Hall, WV. Friends of Cortland Acres meeting

The monthly meeting of The Friends of Cortland Acres will be on Monday, May 7 at 1 p.m. in The Gathering Room at Cortland Acres. For information, call Marie Grafton, Activity Director at 304-463-4181, ext 218.

Tucker’s Farmers Market annual Spring meeting

The Taste of Tucker’s Farmers Market will hold the annual Spring meeting on May 7, at the Parsons Senior Center, at 5 p.m. If you would like to be a part of the market or are interested in learning more about the market please come.
