PVFD Raffle

Parsons Volunteer Fire Department is selling chances on items to be given away on May 13. Each chance gives you three chances to win. first place is a Yeti Tundra/4 lb. Yeti Ice/30 Rambler, second place winner will receive a Yeti Soft-Hopper 20/2 lb. Yeti Ice/30 oz Rambler, and the third place winner receives Custom Cornhole boards – Winner’s choice of design. The

PVFD 5th annual poker run

Registration for the PVFD 5th Annual Poker Run will be from 9 – 11 a.m., last bike out will be at 11:15 a.m. with last bike in at 4 p.m. Breakfast available, dinner at 4 p.m. at fire hall. West Virginia Caring’s Walk for Care

On Sunday, May 21, 2017, West Virginia Caring will hold its annual “Walk for Care” at the Rail Trail parking lot on Rt. 92 in Reedsville. Participants can walk or bike in memory or in honor of a loved one or friend by collecting sponsorships on behalf of themselves or a group. Registration at 1 p.m. with the walk at 2 p.m.. Under 18 years of age must have a parent signature on their form. Chicken BBQ

The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a benefit chicken barbeque (by Paps Lothes) and bake sale for Jimmy (Floyd) Wilfong on Sunday, May 7 at 1 p.m. at the Mountain Top Senior Center. Executive Board Meeting

Yard/Bake Sale

There will be a yard sale and bake sale from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 at First United Methodist Church in Parsons. Proceeds benefit church projects and missions.
