The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

William Michael Buchanan, Parsons, was charged with one count Domestic Assault.  According to the complaint on Monday, Oct. 29, at approximately 10:15 p.m. TFC J.J. Schmidle and Deputy B.T. Zirk were dispatched by Tucker County 911 to a domestic dispute in the Holly Meadows area of Parsons.  Once on scene the officers observed James Buchanan on top of his brother, William Buchanan, holding his hands down.  William Buchanan allegedly appeared intoxicated and out of control.  James advised William came home drunk and allegedly began smashing things in the house over a missing cell phone.  He stated William attempted to punch him several times and he had to hold him down to avoid hurting anyone else.  William Buchanan was taken into custody and is under a $1,000 cash bond.

Corey Matthew Hale, Parsons, was charged with one count DUI.  The complaint states that on Saturday, Oct. 27 at approximately 12:20 a.m.  Cpl. D.W. Burge was advised of a motor vehicle accident along WV32 in Canaan Valley.  He and Deputy Sliwinski traveled to the scene and observed a gray Toyota on its top in the north bound lane of WV32 and a male identified as the defendant staggering toward them.  Burge approached him and asked if he was the driver and he advised that he was.  He had the odor of alcohol on his breath and was swaying while standing.  Burge asked if he had consumed any alcoholic beverages prior to the accident and he allegedly advised he had drunk a couple glasses of wine.  A breath test was administered and Hale registered a .175 BAC, failing the test. Other field sobriety tests were administered and all were failed.  He was arrested and transported to the Parsons Police Department for an approved secondary breath test.  Hale signed the consent form and he registered a .140 BAC.  He was processed and transported to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.  He posted a $1,500 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m.
