The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:

  • Samuel S. Hertzler, Salisbury, Pa, was cited for speeding (29-25) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $175.25.
  • Tracie A. Rice-Clayton, Cumberland, Md. was cited for left of center By Chief Deputy M. Sigley. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of$175.25.
  • Cheala R. Hackney, Parsons, was cited for no proof of insurance by Deputy B.T. Zirk. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.

The following felony cases have been bound over to the Tucker County Circuit Court:

  • State of West Virginia verses Jay Dee Kennard: Davis, The preliminary hearing was waived for one felony count Fraudulent claims to insurance company ($1,000 or more).
  • State of West Virginia verses David John Scott, III: Thomas, The preliminary hearing was waived for one felony count Fraudulent claims to insurance company ($1,000 or more).
  • State of West Virginia verses James Allen Ferguson: Oakland, Md. The preliminary hearing was waived for one felony count fleeing from officers; one felony count grand larceny; two felony counts burglary; three felony counts receiving or transferring stolen vehicle; one felony count conspiracy; one felony count entering of building other than dwelling.

The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

  • Canaan Hospitality LLC verses Dewitt: The court found in favor of Canaan Hospitality LLC against Samantha Dewitt in the amount of $500 plus $75 court cost.
  • Flanagan verses Keplinger: The court found in favor of Alan Flanagan against Joshua Kevin Keplinger in the amount of $8,758.51 plus $95 court cost.
