The following citations have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:

  • Cody Andrew Stinson of Buckhannon, was cited for No valid proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler.  Proof was shown and charge was dismissed.
  • Ocie M. Bonner of Dryfork, was cited for No seatbelt by Cpl. M.S. Wetzel.  She pled guilty and was assessed a fine of $25.
  • Joshua David Hunt of Parsons, was cited for No proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler.  Proof was shown and charge was dismissed.
  • Zachary L. Woodyard of Parsons was cited for Loaded gun in vehicle and Conspiracy to violate Chapter 20 on November 20, 2012 by DNR Officer Ferguson.  He pled guilty to both charges and was assessed fines of $40 and court cost of $331.60.
  • Jerry Scott Butler of Dozier, Ala. Was cited for speeding (54-45) by Cpl. M.A. Roy.  He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.20 and court cost of $165.80.
  • Roxanne L. Rothchild of Falls Church, Va. was cited for Speeding (66-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler.   She pled No Contest and was assessed fines of $4.20 and court cost of $165.80.
  • Steven Bruce Thompson of Dryfork, was cited for No proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler.  Proof was shown and charge was dismissed.
  • Brandon D. Hallem of Parsons was cited for No MVI and No proof of insurance by Dep. C.A. Teter.  Proof was shown and charge was dismissed.
  • Daniel Earnest Worles of Parsons was cited for No proof of insurance by Dep. C.R. Donelson.  Proof was shown and charge was dismissed.
  • George Allen Wilfong of Parsons, was cited for Expired MVI by Dep. C.A. Teter.  Proof was shown and charge was dismissed.
  • Denise M. Gearhart of Princeton was cited for Expired Registration and No proof of insurance in January of 2006 by Dep. D.E. Gidley.  She pled guilty and was assessed fines of $201.50 and court cost of $319.30.

 

The following Criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate court:

 

  • John S. Freet III of Hambleton, was charged with Unlawful Assault and Disorderly Conduct.  According to the criminal complaint, Parsons Chief of Police Jonathan Jones responded to 244 Overlook Drive on June 24. He was informed that Freet had been at the residence beating and banging on the door and outer walls of the residence while yelling, cursing and threatening bodily harm to one or more persons inside the residence.  He also disturbed the peace of others by violent, profane, indecent and boisterous conduct and language and by making unreasonably loud noise that cause annoyance and alarm to other persons.  Freet was released on a PR bond of $200 and a court hearing is scheduled for August 27.

 

The following are Assigned cases in Tucker County Magistrate Court:

 

  • Marlen Miller was charged with DUI on July 3 and was released on a PR bond of $500.
  • Kraig Wilson was charged with failure to obey traffic control devices and a court hearing has been set for September 5.

 

 

Marriages

 

The following marriages have been filed in the Tucker County Clerk’s office:

 

Benjamin Harris Keller, 35, of Thomas to Karrie Mae Moore, 3,7 of Thomas on July 6, 2013.

 

Chris S. Mitchell, 40, of Connellsville, Pa. to Elizabeth Rene Baird, 23, of Scottsdale, Pa. on July 8, 2013.

 

The following case was heard in the Tucker County Circuit Court:

 

The Court previously convicted the Defendant, Brian G. Schoonover, upon his guilty pleas to the felony offenses of Grand Larceny and Concealing Stolen Property,  The Court ordered the Defendant is sentenced to serve one year and no more than ten years for each of the counts.  Sentence was suspended, but Defendant must serve five years supervised probation.  Judge Philip Jordan, Jr. presided over the case.
