The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate Office:
- Jamie Lynn Huffman of Hendricks was cited for speeding (29-25) by Dep. C.R. Donelson. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. A charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed with proof shown.
- Dustin Brock Moran of Parsons was cited for no seatbelt by Sr. Trp. J.J. Schmidle. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $25.
- Angela R. Simmons of Hambleton was cited for no seatbelt by Cpl. M.A. Roy. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Angela R. Simmons of Hambleton was cited for expired MVI by Dep. C.A. Teter. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Reginald Lamont Brown of Glen Allen, Va. was cited for failure to obey traffic device by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Kelly Ann Barnes of Fort Ashby was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. Charge was dismissed with proof shown.
The following misdemeanor cases have been assigned in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Michael Glade Bennett of Hambleton was charged with driving while license revoked-DUI on March 8. According to the criminal complaint, on March 8 the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of an ATV accident on Sugarlands Road near the intersection of US219. When the officer arrived on scene, the defendant was being cared for by Tucker County EMS. When a license check was ran, it was determined that Bennett,s license had been revoked for DUI effective December 29, 2013. It was also noted in the criminal report that the fire department on scene located a bottle of Captain Morgan near the accident scene. A $500 PR bond was posted. The case was before Magistrate Carol D. Irons.
- Matthew Frank Anderson of Davis was charged with burning without a permit during fire season on April 13. He pled not guilty on April 22 and a court hearing is set for June 11 at 11:30 before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
The following felony cases have been assigned in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Michael Glade Bennett of Hambleton was charged with DUI Third offense on March 8. According to the criminal complaint Bennett was transported to the Garrett County Hospital at the time of the above ATV accident. On March 11 a court order was written and signed by a Circuit Court Judge for Garrett County Hospital to release any and all Blood Alcohol Test Results concerning the defendant taken on March 8. According to the medical records obtained from the hospital, the defendant had a medical blood alcohol level of 349, which converts to a .300% BAC by Law Enforcement standards. The defendant has two prior DUI Offense convictions on August 20 and September 26 of 2013. He posted a $5,000 PR bond and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5 at 2 p.m. before Magistrate Carol D. Irons.
- Paul Glenn Wimer of Parsons was charged with Embezzlement with violation dates from January 1 through April 8. He posted a $2,000 PR bond and a preliminary hearing is set for May 2 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
The following cases have been heard in the Tucker County Circuit Court:
- David Howell was scheduled to appear on April 15 but was continued until May 5 at 9:30 a.m.
- Clifford Boyles was scheduled to appear on April 15 but was continued until May 5 at 9:30 a.m.
- Timothy Ryan Daniels appeared before the Honorable Philip B. Jordan, Jr. and was granted a request to enroll in a long-term in-patient drug treatment program.
