Magistrate News for May 14, 2014

The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:

 

  • Thomas Michael Consla of Mill Creek was cited for speeding (69-55) by Trp. J.M. Hebb.  He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
  • Kimberly Marie Clements of Davis was cited for failure to maintain control by Dep. C.A. Teter.  She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
  • Jean P. Pozega of Charleston was cited for cell phone use by Trp. J.E. Kopec.  She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $100.
  • Brittan Tyler Ends of Parsons was cited for possession of tobacco on school property by Sheriff Tom Felton.  He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $5 and court cost of $165.80.
  • Deedee Ann Loughrie of Newburg was cited for improper registration and no insurance by Dep. C.A. Teter.  She pled no contest to first charge and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.  Second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
  • Henry Pearl Cruise of Glady was cited for no insurance and expired registration by Dep. C.A. Teter.  First charge carried fines of $200 and court cost of $165.25.  Second charge carried fines of $4.25 and court cost of $165.25.

 

The following cases have been assigned in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

  •  Matthew Scott Shockley of Davis was charged with Assault; Battery on April 16.  He posted a $600 PR Bond and a court hearing is scheduled for July 16 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate Carol D. Irons.
  • Dustin Travis Carr of Berryville, Va. was charged with failure to meet an obligation to provide support to a minor on March 11.  A cash bond of $1,000 was posted.

 

The following cases have been Ordered and Adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

 

  • Susan Chloe Ridley received Judgment of Dismissed by Magistrate-State- No Fee for one count of petit larceny.  The incident occurred on May 6 and a total case balance of $353.49 is due.  Hereby Ordered and Adjudged by Magistrate Carol D. Irons on May 6.
  • Susan Chloe Ridley received Judgment of Dismissed by Magistrate-State- No Fee for one count Malicious or unlawful assault; assault; battery.  The incident occurred on May 6 and a total case balance of $353.49 is due. Hereby Ordered and Adjudged by Magistrate Carol D. Irons on May 6.
  • Susan Chloe Ridley received Judgment of Dismissed by Magistrate-State- No Fee for one count unlawful injury to or destruction of property.  The incident occurred on May 6 and a total case balance of $353.49 is due.   . Hereby Ordered and Adjudged by Magistrate Carol D. Irons on May 6.
  • Ronnie William Carr of Buckhannon received guilty plea for one count DUI.  The violation date was July 29, 2012.  He was assessed fines of $100 with cost and fees of $240.85 and credit for time served in jail of one day.  Ordered and adjudged on May 1 by Magistrate Carol D. Irons.

 

The following cases were heard in Tucker County Circuit Court:

 

  • Richard Raymond Linger, of Norton was in court seeking a bond reduction for a drug charge that he received in February.  Judge Lynn A. Nelson reduced Linger’s bond from $52,000 of real property to $10,000 PR bond and $10,000 surety.
  • Clifford A. Boyles, of Parsons, has had a motion hearing set for Thursday, July 10 at 9:30 a.m.
  • David Howell, of Hambleton, was before Judge Nelson and a trial date was set for Thursday, Sept. 18 and Friday, Sept. 19. at 9 a.m.
