According to a press release from the City of Parsons Police Department on Saturday, March 11, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Sgt. D.E. Gidley responded to an accident where a vehicle driven by Tony W. Assali of 254 Overlook Dr. was traveling on Billings Ave. when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle. It struck the embankment and a street sign before it overturned, rolled across Bristol Ave. and struck the embankment again. The driver was transported to Davis Medical Center by Tucker County EMS where he was treated. The driver was cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Driving Suspended and No Seatbelt. Assisting the Parsons Police Department was Parsons Volunteer Fire Department and Tucker County EMS. The vehicle was a total loss.
