Tuesday, 13 Poe was stopped by Chief Deputy E.C. Surguy for an unrelated traffic offense, arrested and transported to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. On Aug. 15, Surguy informed Parsons Police Chief J.E. Jones of Poe’s shoplifting offense.  Jones completed a criminal complaint for the shoplifting incident and requested a warrant be issued for Poe for shoplifting and that the warrant be served while she is in jail.
•      On Thursday, Aug. 15 a woman at McDonald’s noticed what appeared to be three young males on top of the Tucker County Courthouse.  She called 911 to have an officer check the situation.  Parsons Police Chief J.E. Jones arrived on scene and found three male students who were performing community service for school credit.  The males informed Jones that they had been out on the roof for a few minutes but had completed their purpose for being there and made it safely back inside.
•      On Thursday, Aug. 15 Tucker County 911 received a call from a residence in the Blackman Flats area that an elderly male, who was very intoxicated, had walked away from his residence.  The Parsons Police responded and attempted to locate the individual.  He was found nearly two hours at a family member’s residence in the Holly Meadows area.
