Library workersA group of seven youngsters, age 11 to 15 visited Davis and Thomas the week of June 25-30 performing needed mission work at several locations. Coming from Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall, PA and hosted by St. John’a Lurtheran in Davis, they were accompanied by three adults, all ten of whom spent their days painting at Mountaintop Library and the Senior Center in Thomas and at two homes in Davis. Even with the time spent working, they were able to take in some of our beautiful local sights as well as take a rafting trip on the Cheat River. In the photo, the group poses at the end of their work day at Mountaintop Library. Those standing, left to right are Ella, Lynn Wheeland, Kailen, Pastor Ruth Bullwinkle of St. John’s Lutheran, Jadyn, Hailey, Adam Jepson, youth leader at Grace United Methodist, Becki Furedy, Larry Knight of St. John’s and Yvonne Martinez, librarian. Kneeling, left to right are Ellie, Tori and Erin.
