Tucker County HOSA students attend International Leadership Conference

Over 9,200 HOSA members, advisors and guests participated in HOSA’s first-ever International Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN, June 22-25, 2016. HOSA-Future Health Professionals from all over the country, Canada, American Samoa and Puerto Rico came together to compete, learn and share their HOSA experiences. Conference highlights included 57 health-related competitive events, 147 educational workshops, keynote addresses from VADM Vivek Murthy, M.D., the U.S. Surgeon General, and Brad Montague, creator of Kid President, and a special celebration for HOSA’s 40th Anniversary. Those attending from Tucker County HOSA included Cheyenne Phillips, Alexis Roth, Sierra Bennett, Alexis Hunt, Amanda Pennington, Vincent Moats, Nathaniel Rader and Tanner Burns. The Parliamentary Procedure team placed in the top 20 and included Phillips, Roth, Bennett, Hunt and Moats. Tanner Burns placed 3rd at the international conference in Interviewing Skills.
