TCF USBP PictureTucker Community Foundation’s 27th annual Uncle Sam’s Birthday Party is scheduled for July 1, 2016 at the main lodge of Canaan Valley State Park with doors opening at 5:15 p.m. Only 250 tickets are sold for the annual event that includes an elimination raffle, plated dinner, door prizes and additional raffle prizes. The tickets are $125 each and entitle the purchaser to dinner for two and entry into the elimination dinner with a chance to win $5,000. The additional raffles with additional ticket purchase include the popular Greenbrier Resort weekend package and the annual Totally Tucker package of local gift certificates to skiing, golfing, food venues, other activities, pieces of art work, and many locally themed items. There is a limited supply of beer and wine available at the start of the event with a cash bar available.
The Tucker Community Foundation uses the proceeds from the event to help fund their scholarship and grant programs. These programs issued over $1,300,000 in grants and over 40 different scholarships to students in our region.
For tickets ask any board member or contact either of the Foundation’s offices at 304-478-2930 or 304-259-5008. Additional information can be found on the Foundation’s website: tuckerfoundation.net.
