ArtSpring, the foremost organization in Tucker County WV devoted to nurturing and promoting the arts, has announced plans to search for an Executive Director. Bruce Wilson, current ArtSpring Co-Executive Director, says that the all-volunteer organization’s annual Memorial Day weekend festival “has grown to the point that it requires a paid director to oversee the year-round executive functions as well as all the festival preparations and follow up.”
The organization continually engages the public in creative pursuits, with the annual ArtSpring festival at the core of its efforts. These pursuits stimulate tourism by promoting Tucker County’s arts culture as a destination for making and buying art, with resulting positive benefits to the economy.
The new ArtSpring Executive Director will be a part-time contractual position. Interested persons can find a complete position description and instructions for application at www.artspringwv.com. For best consideration all application materials should be submitted as soon as possible, or by October 21 for full consideration.
