2_Beautician Training For Adults Opens In PetersburgAdults who are interested in becoming licensed hairstylists and beauticians can now get professional training at a nearby learning center. Eastern WV Community and Technical College will offer ‘Professional Cosmetology’, a one-year, evening training in Petersburg for adult learners.
“This training, offered through Eastern’s Workforce Education department in partnership with South Branch Career and Technical Center, will allow graduates to take the WV state licensing exam to become a beautician,” said Ward Malcolm, the college’s dean of career, technical and workforce education.
“Our two schools have put the training together through a year-long process, and we are all extremely pleased to see it launch.”  A similar training for high school, juniors and seniors will get underway this semester.
“Classes for adults begin in September, and places are limited,” Malcolm noted. “We are signing up participants now.” For more information, and to register, call Eastern at 304-434-8000; or toll-free:
877-982-2322.
