Cummings joins SGMC

The St. George Medical Clinic, Inc. announced the addition of a Full-time Behavior Health Counselor and Therapist.

Amy Cummings has joined the SGMC staff and is seeing patients at the main location in St. George.

Cummings is a native of Tucker County and graduated from Tucker County High School in 1995. She continued her education at Davis & Elkins College and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Psychology & Human Services and Sociology. She then furthered her education and earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from West Virginia University in 2002. She was approved for licensure in 2004 by the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling (WVBEC) and has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Until recently, Cummings owned and operated her private practice.

Cummings volunteers for several organizations including Community Corrections (CC), where she serves as president of the board. She is active in the Church of God, where she serves as the ministry team leader for the Celebrate Recovery Program and volunteers at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School for the Read-Aloud-Program and serves as the President of the PTO board.
She is the daughter of Artie and Paula McDonald. She is married to Harrison Cummings and is the mother of Ethan and Rachel Cummings and the Step-Mother to Camryn and Alec Cummings.

She currently resides with her family in Hambleton.
