THOMAS, West Virginia – The Friends of the Mountaintop Public Library (FOMPL), an organization supporting the library in Thomas, is pleased to announce its summer garden party. This year’s fundraising event will be Saturday, August 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the National Youth Science Academy, 494 Riverstone Road in Davis. Proceeds will support library-related community events and help fund day-to-day operations of the library. A portion will be contributed to the MPL New Library Fund.
Ticket holders will enjoy locally catered hors d’oeuvres and desserts as well as wine and non-alcoholic beverages. A silent auction, typically the highlight of the event, will feature pottery and other artwork, spa and golf gift certificates, area restaurant gift certificates, books, and much more. Garden games will be available to add to the fun.
