Representatives of the community and Davis Health System celebrated the grand opening of a new healthcare clinic and pharmacy in Davis, WV with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

DAVIS, WV — Davis Health System hosted a grand opening on Thursday for its newly constructed walk-in clinic and pharmacy in Davis, WV.  Guests were able to tour the two new facilities, meet the staff, enjoy live music, and enter a raffle for door prizes. The event was held on-site at the Shop-N-Save Express in Davis.

“We are happy to open our doors in Tucker County,” said Catherine M. Chua, DO, FAAFP, FMNM, CPE, and Chief Medical Officer for Davis Health System.

“259STAT offers a convenient choice for those with acute care needs, especially during evening hours and weekends.  Having Community Care Pharmacy next to the clinic brings added value to the whole care experience.”

Community Care Pharmacy will open on Monday, July 12, with hours Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.  Free prescription delivery in Tucker County is available.

259STAT is staffed by Board Certified providers experienced in the care of patients of all ages, and is open seven days a week.

Tours gave guests a first look at DHS’ new clinic design that features a beautiful blend of modern and natural elements.  Wood textures, an abundant natural resource for the Davis community, were used in paneled walls, floors, and custom-built furniture.

“It adds a pleasant, warm, and welcoming look as you enter the clinic,” said Abby Haddix, RN, MSN, and DHS Director of Professional Services.  “We like that the natural materials diminish the “institutional” feel, yet still maintain a clean, safe care environment.  Because the clinic is small special attention was given to practicality, and patient privacy and comfort.
