Granville Manor Names New Administrator

Melissa Edwards, currently the aide supervisor of Granville Manor in Parsons., has been named the newest administrator.  Edwards began her transition to her new position on tuesday, Sept. 24.  She recently received her degree in hospital administration from the Ashworth Community College in Georgia.  Prior to appointment Edwards completed training as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Cortland Acres.

 
Edwards has successfully supervised her staff as aide supervisor and shown strong leadership skills.  “We feel privileged to add an executive of Melissa’s caliber to our leadership team.” Granville’s CEO Sheila Marshall said.  “Melissa brings to Granville a strong sense of commitment to quality, service excellence and community involvement.  Her clear understanding and success in the areas of both operations and strategic planning make her a perfect fit for our growing business.”  Marshall said.

 
During her employment at Granville, Edwards was credited with numerous accomplishments including implementing a successful plan on safety, for residents and staff, and exhibiting an unwavering commitment to process improvement and achievement of the best possible outcomes.  “My interactions with Melissa, combined with the feedback I received from staff, physicians and community leaders, make me very confident in her fit for this important role,”  Marshall said.  “She is an inspirational leader with a special gift for deeloping relationships and producing positive results.  Most importantly, Melissa embraces Granville’s commitment to residents and their families and her personal dedication and unflappable personality, will guide her to success.”

 
“Melissa has proven to be a dedicated and highly-skilled member of our staff and Edwards stated that she will be available to our residents, families, and our community at all times.” stated Marshall.
Edwards said “Granville Manor LLC has been and will continue to be an asset to our community, we have had the pleasure to serve many families in the past, and I look forward to the future growth of Granville.”
