The Canaan Valley Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting the first ever BB gun “Turkey Shoot” on November 4 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Canaan Valley Fire Hall on Route 32 in Canaan Valley.

This fun event will feature a variety of prizes for all ages including a frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving! There will be a shooting match for each prize with the cost to enter each match dependent on the value of the prize. Contestants can choose their most desired prizes and enter as many matches as they’d like. Along with the turkey, other prizes will include toys for all ages, gift certificates to local restaurants, and WVU memorabilia. BB guns and ammo will be provided—just bring your steady hand and sharp eyes.

The event will be held indoors, rain or shine, and the Auxiliary will also be selling hotdogs with homemade chili sauce and other toppings. There will also be a bake sale featuring delicious items from great bakers across the Valley.

The winner of the CVVFD sponsored “Winner’s Choice” raffle will also be drawn at the event.
