From the Office of Chief W.D. Rowe
Parsons Police Department

The City of Parsons and the Parsons Police Department has created the Parsons Community Task Force consisting of citizens of Tucker County.

This task force will be patrolling areas in Parsons, such as Mill Race Park, River City Park, the Cemetery and other areas in the city.  The task force will also help with special functions such as assisting with traffic control during parades and other events.  The members of the task force are volunteers that want to help with the protection of the citizens and property in the City of Parsons.

Also, I would like to remind all citizens that both the Mill Race Park and the River City Park close at 10 p.m.  The task force members will be asking anyone in the parks after 10 p.m. to leave and failure to do so will result in a law enforcement officer issuing a citation for Trespassing.  This will result in a fine for the first offense.  Please, do not be in the parks after they are closed.

Chief W.D. “Bill” Rowe
