The West Virginia Wrestling Alliance (WVWA) is a professional wrestling organization that is based out of Parkersburg. It was started in Clarksburg in 1996 by owner-promoter-wrestler, Greg “Wildcat” Shriver. The WVWA is in its 20th year of running shows throughout West Virginia. It has many shows that saw many superstars in its locker room.
Stars such as Jake the Snake Roberts, Lord Zultan, Doink the Clown, Bobby Eaton, of the Midnight Express, Ricky Morton, of the Rock-n-Roll Express, Tracey Smothers, Steve Corino, Chris Hamrick and many others have graced the ring. It has also been home to local stars like Wildcat, Johnny Hard, Brock Hudson, D.J. Skittles, Smokey C, Justin Kase, Viper and many, many others.
The WVWA intends to run its promotion for many more years to come. So come on out to an event near you and enjoy the affordable fun time.
The next event close to you will be Saturday, July 30 in Parsons at the Parsons Annex Gym. Doors open at 6 p.m. with show time beginning at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are $7 and can be purchased at Jim’s All-Star in Bretz and Patriots 4 in St. George. Tickets will be $10 at the door the night of the show.
