Matko joins Mullens & Mullens

The law firm of Mullens & Mullens, PLLC, is pleased to announce the addition of attorney C. Brian Matko to its legal team. His practice is primarily focused on construction law, contracts, family law, personal injury and insurance disputes.

Matko is a native of Philippi, West Virginia, and a 1992 graduate of Philip Barbour High School.  He attended college at West Virginia University where he graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.  Brian earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1999.

After law school, Matko worked for a number of years in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia for a multi-state law firm.  He also worked for a law firm in Northern Virginia.  His practice focused on civil litigation, construction law, creditor’s/debtor’s rights and insurance coverage disputes.  In 2009, he moved to Charleston, West Virginia, to work for the State of West Virginia, Department of Transportation, Division ofHighways, as in-house counsel. While working for the State, he represented the State before various tribunals.  Additionally, he has experience in construction disputes, contracting, utilities and government procurement.   Matrko is licensed to practice law in the State of West Virginia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
