The Mountaineer Garden Club is pleased to recognize its August Yards of the Month, celebrating local residents whose beautiful landscaping and thoughtful care add color and charm to our community.
Kelly Underwood was selected for a beautifully maintained landscape featuring bright, colorful zinnias, impressive hydrangeas, and neatly trimmed shrubs. The combination of summer blooms, healthy greenery, and well-kept beds creates a warm and welcoming setting and reflects the time and care devoted to the property.
Susie Elza was also recognized for her inviting landscape and attention to detail. Colorful window boxes filled with annual flowers complement the home, while neatly trimmed shrubs and flowering planters placed along the walkways create a cheerful welcome. The variety of textures and summer color make the property especially eye-catching.
The Pocket Park received recognition for its beautiful plantings that enhance one of our community’s special gathering spaces. Blooming hydrangeas, rose bushes, and colorful annual flowers frame the area and beautifully complement the large wall mural. Together, the flowers, greenery, seating area, and mural create a charming space for residents and visitors to stop and enjoy.
The Mountaineer Garden Club appreciates the work of those who take pride in their homes and community spaces. Their efforts do more than create beautiful yards—they help make our entire community a more welcoming and enjoyable place to live. Residents are encouraged to help us continue celebrating local beauty by nominating future Yards of the Month and sharing the gardens and landscapes that make our community shine.
Congratulations to our August Yards of the Month recipients!
