The Keyser Branch of M&T Bank made a generous contribution to the Tucker Boulder Park project that helps to meet the match required for the federal grant funds. Groundbreaking for the project is anticipated this fall with installation of at least two of the three boulders planned in 2017.
M&T Bank has a long history of taking an active role in community development. The Chairman and CEO of M&T Bank is on record saying, “The well-being of the bank is dependent upon the well-being of the communities we serve.”
M&T Bank is one of the top 20 full-service U.S.-based commercial banks, with 17,000 employees and a long history of community-focused banking. Founded in 1856, M&T provides commercial, retail, business, investment, mortgage and professional banking services through more than 800 branches and 1,600 ATMs throughout New York, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Upon making the donation, Sue Simpson, Vice President/Business and Professional Banking, stated, “I wish you all the best with this exciting project. The Boulder Park will add a new recreational venue that benefits the region and the state”.
Mineral County is one of eight counties served by Tucker Community Foundation.
