Thirty-four people attended the National Day of Pray, led by Pastor Neil Parsons in Davis Rev. Dr. Donna Andes in Thomas.

Prayer began by the blowing of the shofar which is a supernatural instrument of God. It is considered to be his voice, breath or shout of God’s victory over the power of sin, death and the enemy. (Numbers 10:9)

The theme this year was, “For Your Great Names Sake” from Daniel 9:19. The history of the NDP was reviewed. Shirley Dobson was the President from 1972 When the NDP Task Force was formed. Last year she handed the mantel to Ruth Graham Lotus (Rev. Billy Graham’s daughter.)

The President and the Governors of every state declared and signed a declaration on Constitutional grounds for the NDP.

Those leading in prayer were: J.R. Helmick from the Rubenstein Center, Deputy Chris Peters, Dan Bucher, Mrs. Frances Quatro, Debra Cook, Carol Turek and Rev. Andes
The service was completed by singing God Bless America.
