CANAAN VALLEY, WV — The new website CanaanValleyCabins.com has launched an innovative marketing effort to expand regional reach and interest in rental homes in Canaan Valley.
Mark Jenkins and Jim Goff are West Virginia locals who realized a need for this concept to assist rental home owners in Canaan Valley. Much like nearby Deep Creek Lake, MD, Canaan Valley has recently mushroomed into a tourist destination but the pair recognized there wasn’t much organization to the available rental properties. Visitors were within a 3-hour driving radius and didn’t realize the quality and amenities of the homes available to rent in or near the Valley.
Specifically, as was the case with Jenkins and Goff, each of their respective rental properties in the Valley were struggling to reach a wider audience. So, the two pooled their resources over the next two years, and invested heavily into a business model that would provide the only exclusive rental listing site for Canaan Valley. Now, each of the owners share the story that their homes each increased bookings by over 50%.
Co-owner Jenkins said, “We are West Virginia guys and we saw a gap we could fill here in Canaan Valley. We wanted to create efficiencies to best promote all of the fabulous rentals in our area.”
The two promise that listing a rental home on their website will allow for a more targeted marketing experience and a regional reach to Washington, DC metro area, Pittsburgh, PA, other parts of West Virginia and the surrounding areas.

Jenkins divides his time between Bruceton Mills, Lost Creek and Canaan Valley, and enjoys spending time with his family. His background is in finance, entrepreneurship and the vacation rental industry, which makes him an excellent resource for the company. Goff resides in Morgantown, WV with his wife and four children. He has owned and regularly spent time with his family at their vacation rental home in Canaan Valley for over 12 years. Goff brings 25 years of Finance and Accounting skills as well as business management experience to the company.
