Tucker County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau intends to seek financial assistance from USDA, Rural Housing Service (RHS) for construction of Tucker County Visitor’s Center. The proposed project consists of construction of a single structure within the city limits of Davis on a 1.94-acre site (Lat/Long 39.128113, -79.473381). If implemented, the proposed project will convert approximately 0.37 -acre of palustrine emergent (PEM) wetlands. In accordance with Executive Order 11990, Protection of Wetlands, and USDA Departmental Regulation 9500-3, Land Use Policy, the purpose of this notice is to inform the public of this proposed conversion or effect and request comments concerning the proposal, alternative sites or actions that would avoid these impacts, and methods that could be used to minimize these impacts.
