Queen Daphne, Teen and Junior Queen Pageants

The Tucker County Fair Association will be holding the Queen Daphne Pageant on Aug, 20 at Camp Kidd park. the pageant is open to all girls between the ages if 16 to 21 years. Contestants for the Teen division must be between the ages of 13 to 15 years of age. The Junior Miss division is for girls between the ages of 10 to 12.

The competition for Queen Daphne consists of a personal interview with the judges, casual wear, a 30 second promo about the fair, evening wear, and an on stage question. The winner will receive a $500 scholarship, crown, sash, flowers, and have the opportunity to represent, with expenses paid, the Tucker County Fair in the 2015 West Virginia Fairs and Festivals Pageant. the Teen winner will receive a $100 scholarship, sash, crown and flowers with Junior Miss receiving a crown, sash, flowers and $50.

To enter the pageant or for more information cll Phyllis Carr at 304=478-3747 or 304-642-0641. Deadline to enter is May 24, there is an entry fee. Packets may be picked up at TCHS from Stephanie Burns, at Stevens’ Realty an Management, the WVU University Extension office or by email phylliscarr@frontiernet.net.
