Kaitlin Scott graduated from Bishop Donahue High School n McMechen, as the Co-Salutatorian of the class of 2013. She has been on the honor roll all four years, a member of the National Honor Society, the school winner in the West Virginia Young Writers competition, a Moundsville Rotary Club Student of the Month, recipient of the Albert A Christ Scholarship, recipient of the West Virginia University Vandalia Scholarship, recipient of the Ruthann Johnson Memorial Scholarship, recipient of the Office of naval Research Naval Science Award at the West Liberty University Science Fair, first place Environmental Science Senior Division at the WLU Science Fair, Geoscience Excellence Association for Women for an outstanding project in Earth and Space Science at the WLU Science Fair, and top awards in classes of government and civics, psychology and honorable mention in college calculus. She is a recipient of the Promise Scholarship.
Scott was a member of the Homecoming Court, a member of the Art Club, a member of the Spanish Club and participated in the school musical. Her athletic awards consist of offensive MVP for softball 2013 and Most Digs for volleyball 2012. She was co-captain of the 2012 volleyball team. She earned varsity letters in softball and volleyball for four years and a member for the OVAC All Acaemic Confrence 2011-2012. Scott was also All OVAC – Single A First Tram, All State Special Honorable Mention Class A, Athletic Awards.
Scott is the daughter of Zeke and Donna Scott of Moundsville and the granddaughter of the late Samuel and Dorothy Scott of Thomas. She plans to attend West Virginia University where she will major in pharmacy.
