Shockey Named West Virginia State Advisor for Modern Woodmen of America

People helping people achieve quality of life. As a fraternal benefit society, that’s what Modern Woodmen of America is all about.

James Shockey, a Modern Woodmen representative in Old Fields, WV, serves members, their families, and residents in and around the West Virginia area. A unique combination of business and voluntarism, the organization offers life insurance, annuity and investment* products, along with fraternal member benefits for families and their communities.

Founded in 1883, the organization was named in honor of pioneering woodmen who cleared forests to build homes and communities and provide security for their families. Modern Woodmen of America was created to clear away family financial difficulties. While its founding mission has remained, Modern Woodmen’s products and services have changed to meet the changing needs of today’s families. Based in Rock Island, Ill., the organization serves more than 750,000 members nationwide.

James Shockey, Registered Financial Representative, FIC, FICF, FR, is a graduate of Moorefield High School, West Virginia School of Real Estate, Estate Planning School, Fraternal Field Manager’s Association, and Financial Advisors Forum, was recently named West Virginia State Advisor for Modern Woodmen of America. Born in Nuremburg, Germany, James, his wife Vera, and their family are residents of the historic community of Old Fields. WV. James is a 24 year veteran of Modern Woodmen.
