PARSONS – Several folks appeared last week in Tucker County Circuit and Magistrate Courts.
William Glen Murphy, 53, appeared with attorney Chris Cooper again seeking a bond modification. His request was denied and Murphy remains in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. According to the criminal complaint, Murphy, of Kerens, is charged with one count of malicious assault and one count of domestic violence.
David J. Biggs, 24, of Elkins was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Biggs appeared with attorney James Hawkins and pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a lesser offense.
Biggs was sentenced to 6 months in jail and was ordered to forfeit money seized during a traffic stop in the amount of $1,413.
A status hearing was held for two Parsons residents, each facing 16 felony counts. Richard Allen Bell and Joshua Lowther were direct indictments. Attorney James Hawkins and Chris Cooper said they were working with consultants in the case. The next hearing for Bell and Lowther is set for 10:15 a.m. Oct. 7.
Aaron Todd Wolfe, 36, appeared with his attorney Brent Easton. Wolfe is charges with one count of grand larceny. He appeared before Tucker County Magistrate Riley Barb. Probable cause was found, and the case was bound over to Tucker County Magistrate Court for possible presentation to a Tucker County Grand Jury.
Tiffany N. Henline, 33, of Parsons appeared before Tucker County Magistrate Riley Barb. Henline is charged with one felony count of 3rd offense shoplifting. Probable cause was found and her case was bound over for presentation to a Tucker County Grand Jury. Henline appeared with her attorney Alex Solomon.
