For the 61st consecutive year Thomas Volunteer Fire Department will present its annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display in Thomas, WV on June 30, 2018 at dark. The alternate date in case of rain or heavy fog will be July 1st.

Being strictly a non-profit public service project of this Department since 1957, this anticipated summer time event is one Tucker County’s oldest traditions, it provides entertainment for not only our local residents but is also enjoyed by countless visitors as well. It has evolved into one of the most spectacular Fireworks Displays in the area.

Funding for the display is acquired from donations collected by a house to house collection in Thomas and surrounding area, roadblocks set up on the night of the display, individual donations and funding by the Tucker P&R.
The actual firing of the display is conducted by members of the Department who are State licensed Pyrotechnicians in full compliance with State and Federal regulations.
As in previous displays the Department honors the memory of members who have past away since the last display
with the firing of the first shot. This year the memory of Daniel ” Boone” Pase who was an active member from the
1950’s to the early 1970’s will be honored.
The Officers and Members of Thomas VFD would like to take this opportunity to thank those who support the Department, hasten to say that we are always at your service and wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July.
