ST. GEORGE MEDICAL-DENTAL CLINIC WELCOMES DR. TIMOTHY THORNE, DDS TO ITS DENTAL TEAM

St. George Dental Clinic welcomes Dr. Timothy Thorne, DDS to its dental team effective April 24, 2019.

A graduate of Moorefield High School in 1981, Dr. Thorne graduated from the WVU School of Dentistry in 1988.  He completed one year of General Practice Residency in 1988-1989 at Offut AFB in Omaha, Nebraska.  Dr. Thorne continued his residency in 1989-1990 at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.  He finished his residency in 1990-1991 whole deployed with a 14-Bed Air Transportable Hospital in Desert Storm, Iraq.    In 1992, Dr. Thorne, became the current owner of Steward, Barr, and Thorne in Moorefield, Romney and Keyser, and has been practicing general dentistry for the past 27 years.

Thorne is committed to helping and assisting mission work.  For the past 5 years, Dr. Thorne has been traveling to Guatemala to provide dental services to this third-world Country by donating all of the supplies, labor, and products to patients who normally wouldn’t have the means or access to dental care.

Thorne currently serves on the West Virginia Board of Dentistry, and is on the Sub-Committee of Anesthesia.  Dr. Thorne specializes in General Dentistry, and performs most dental procedures, including surgical extractions, dental implants, and most other oral surgical procedures under general anesthesia.

 Thorne is married to Diana Thorne and has three  children and one grandchild.  His son is continuing his legacy in the dental field and is a junior at the WVU School of Dentistry.
