The 4-H’s stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. To raise awareness of the “Health H”, 4-H youth across the state were challenged to create a motivational video about healthy eating choices. The video had to be planned and produced by 4-H youth, with only guidance from adults.
This year Tucker County 4-H had three clubs accept the challenge – Four Leaf Clovers, Rhododendron, and Flanagan Hill Pathfinders. We are proud to say that all did very well and placed. Rhododendron received 1st place and $500 dollars, Pathfinders received 2nd and $400 dollars, and the Four Leaf Clovers received Honorable Mention and $200.
If you would like to see their winning videos you can see them on the WVU Extension Website or on the Tucker Co. 4-H Facebook Page. If you are looking for a 4-H Club to join or are curious about what 4-H is, call the Extension Office at 304 478-2949 ext:209.
