Buckhannon – On May 2, 2018  at 9 a.m. emergency management officials along with business, community and governmental leaders from throughout Barbour, Braxton, Gilmer, Lewis, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker, Upshur and Webster Counties will be taking part in an innovative disaster learning opportunity entitled “Mountain Deluge – Region 4 Tabletop Exercise”.

Over 40 agencies from across the region will be taking part in this learning opportunity, designed and managed by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and contractor TechLaw.
“This exercise has been designed to assess our disaster response and recovery capabilities while we work to strengthen the cooperation and coordination among the various agencies, organizations and businesses who make up our region’s emergency management team” said Shawn Dunbrack, Region 4 Area Liaison with the WV Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
