A press release from the Tucker County Sheriff’s department states on Jan 24 at 3:15 p.m., Deputy B.T. Zirk along with Deputy C.R. Donelson of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, and TFC J.J. Schmidle, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, responded to a death investigation located at Cortland Road, Davis. Once on the scene the officers were met by several supervisors working for Q & A Associates and Tucker County EMS.
The officers were advised that a male approximately 23 years of age was found hanging in a barn, with a rope around his neck. EMS advised that they checked for vitals, but had found none.
This incident occurred between the hours of 2:10 and 3 p.m. The individual was part of Q & A Associates program located in Davis. The officers found nothing on the scene that would indicate that this was anything other than a self-inflicted injury.
The victim was transported to Davis Medical Center and his parents were notified by Q & A Associates administration. This is an ongoing investication.
