Tucker Teams Invest in Community

Twenty six Tucker County teams were among the 1100 racers lined up in Davis for Tucker Community Foundation’s annual Run For It held September 27. Some walked – others ran – and at the end of the race there was much celebration as the combined effort of the teams raised more than $88,700 to benefit Tucker County causes.

Individual winners raising support for Tucker County causes included:

$100 2k Luck of the Draw Pete Johnson, Liz Gregory, Amanda Simmons, and Danny Camden

 

$100 5k Luck of the Draw Diana Buchness, Ryan Gaujot, Kim Conroy

 

$500 2k Walk 1st Youth Kalib Chidester, Tory Paul

2k Walk 1st Masters Ed Rader, Diane Beall

 

$250 2k Walk 2nd Youth Braxton Dunn

2k Walk 2nd Adult Mitchell Beall, Emma Donavon

2k Walk 2nd Masters Allen Rapp, Nanette Seligman

 

$100 2k Walk 3rd Youth Abbie Eakle

2k Walk 3rd Adult Jennifer Friend

2k Walk 3rd Masters Richard Horan, JoJo Patterson

$500 Fastest 5k 2nd Overall Andrew Rhodes, Marie Bolyard

 

$250 Fastest 5k 3rd Overall Derek Bolyard

 

$100 5k Top 3 by age Andrew Brewster, John Layne, Isiah Sigley, Zanna Logar, Resi Anderson, Hannah Easton, Jacob Davis, Derek Zirk, Kelsey Kyle, Dustin Smith, John Morgan Chase, Adam Chase, Hilary Bright, Athey Lutz, Lila Menzies, Sarah Hunt, Brian Menzies, Joseph Piazza, Christina Rowson, Luke Fleishman, Joseph Enright, Mary Ann Miller, Nancy Mammarella, Chip Chase, Bill Varney, Anne Burnham, and Trevor Reichman.

Team proceeds were listed in a previous press release. The fifty teams participating in the 2014 race represented the largest field since the program started in 2007 to raise support and awareness for nonprofits and community causes.
