703 Walnut St., in Parsons was the scene of yet another house fire in the Parsons area. Parsons Volunteer Fire Department Company 10 Fire Chief, Kevin White said, ” Upon arrival there was smoke coming from the roof eves and visible flames in the attic windows.”

White stated ” This was another great team effort by all involved and thru that effort the structure was saved.” PVFD Company 10 responded with six units and 16 personnel. Thomas Company 40, Leading Creek Company 47 responded with an additional combined four units and 20 personnel. Davis Company 20 assisted with two units and personnel for standby at the fire station. Tucker EMS, Tucker 911, the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department and the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police provided traffic control and assisted with safety.
