Drive Thru Flu Shot Clinics
The Tucker County Health Department will hold Drive Thru Flu Shot Clinics, Monday, Oct. 5, 2026 at the Health Department Parking Lot, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and again on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 at the Davis Fire Hall Parking Lot from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Seasonal flu shots will be given to anyone 18 years of age and older. If you have insurance, please bring your card. You will not be charged any co-pay.
If you do not have insurance, you can still receive a flu shot at no cost. In case of inclement weather, the Parsons clinic will be held inside the Tucker County Health Department, and the Davis clinic will be held inside the Fire Hall.
Garden Club Meeting
The Mountaineer Garden Club will have its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6 beginning at 6 p.m. at The Five Rivers Public Library in Parsons. All are welcome to attend.
Food Handler’s Class
Tucker County Health Department will be conducting Food Handler’s Training Classes at the Senior Center in Parsons, on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.. Individuals attending the class will be issued a food handler’s permit, which will be good for two years. A $10.00 registration fee will be collected upon admittance. The classes will start promptly, and late arrivals will not be admitted.
Craft Show
The Five Public Library will be having a craft show, at the library. This will take place on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. We will have crafters, a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, as well as a bake sale. Stop in for lunch! We will have hot dogs, with Propst hot dog sauce, and fresh popcorn for sale!
