ATTENTION METTIKI EMPLOYEES, and others affected by the layoffs.

You may qualify for supplemental food. The Blackwater Ministerial Association’s Food Pantry operates the first Wednesday of each month form 11:00 to 1:00 at 374 Quail Ridge Road (across from Davis-Thomas Elementary / Middle School. Stop by, sign up and bring home bags of food.

Will be held at the First United Methodist Church on March 27, at 6 pm. We will be serving pulled pork bbq sandwiches and other sandwiches, and side dishes such as cole slaw, macaroni and potato salad, baked beans and others, desserts and drinks. Come out and enjoy good food and fellowship.

No Kings Rally in Thomas

(Thomas, WV) On March 28th, local Tucker County residents will come together with millions of Americans in a nationwide day of non-violent protest at the third No Kings National Day of Non-violent Action. Join us at the bank parking lot on Front Street in Thomas from noon to 2 p.m. this Saturday, March 28. The event is organized by WV Highlands Indivisible.

Easter Program

M&Ms of Easter will be the Hendricks Free Methodist Children’s Church program. Come celebrate Easter with the children on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. Find out what the M&Ms stand for in Easter. Refreshments will follow.

On April 1 there will be a Passover Meal for the Children’s Church.

Good Friday Services will be at noon on Friday, April 3.

Easter Services will be at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 5.

Corridor H Workshop

The Go North Alliance is hosting a Corridor H Public Information Workshop on April 7 at the Thomas Senior Center on Spruce Street. The event will run twice, once at 2 p.m. and once at 7 p.m. Come and learn what is going on with Corridor H and help us create a community-conscious Northern Route! The Tucker County Senior Center Director is trying to form a committee to help plan fun and exciting trips. If you have interest in working on the committee please reach out to the Senior Center at 304-478-2423.

Lancaster, PA Trip

The Tucker County Senior Center is hosting a trip to Lancaster, Pa. on June 16, 17 and 18. We will be seeing a new production of Joshua, The trip features: two nights lodging, 2 breakfast meals, 2 dinners – a Smorgasbord Dinner and meal at an Amish House, countryside tour, film presentation of Jacob’s Choice and other stops as well. The price is $569 per person Double Occupancy. Call the Senior Center at 304-478-2423 to sign up.
