Food Handler’s Training Classes
Sanitarian James Snyder announced that the Tucker County Health Department will be conducting Food Handler’s Training Classes at the Senior Center in Parsons, on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.. Individuals attending the class will be issued a food handler’s permit which will be good for two years. A $10.00 registration fee will be collected upon admittance.
The classes will start promptly, and late arrivals will not be admitted.
Waterway of Life, West Virginia Rivers Coalition
Join a Waterway of Life, West Virginia Rivers Coalition, and partners for a screening of “Rebirth: Wild & Scenic Headwaters” on Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Rudolph’s, 300 East Avenue, Thomas, WV. This video highlights the beautiful Mon Forest headwaters – and the efforts of West Virginians to have these headwaters permanently designated as Wild and Scenic Rivers. There will be a discussion afterwards, and light refreshments will be served.

These terminal stations will allow you to experience hands-on, interactive sessions designed to teach you about each of Eastern’s programs and trainings.
