Traveling on US219 south and on the Benbush Road the view of the windmills has changed recently.  A non-working  and wounded turbine is quite visible against the skyline as a 114 foot long, 14 thousand pound,  blade is bent at an awkward angle.   Steve Stengel,  spokesman for NextEra Energy Resources, said  “During demolition work being conducted by a local mining company, a piece of debris struck and damaged a blade on one of our wind turbines. We are in the process of sourcing a new blade and will repair the damage as soon as possible. The remainder of the wind farm continues to operate normally.”
