Drug and Alcohol Addictions

Methamphetamines are one of the most common drugs of across the United States. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, over 16,000 people died in 2019 due to psychostimulants with methamphetamines being the most common stimulant causing these deaths. While this seems small in comparison to the 49,860 deaths caused from opiates. The number of deaths does not tell the whole story. 

 

If you have a family member or friend who has or is struggling with an addiction to methamphetamines, you likely know this all too well. Many of those who struggle with meth addiction rapidly deteriorate in every area of their life. This could include financial problems, deterioration in physical appearance, or legal and criminal charges. These issues impact entire communities at large. Causing property damage, crime, and the destruction of families. 

 

Knowing the signs of both short and long term meth addiction can help you identify if a member of your family or community needs rehabilitation for methamphetamine addiction. 

 

Here are some of the signs of Methamphetamine Addiction: 


  • Insomnia
  • Hyperactivity
  • Hallucinations
  • Pick Marks
  • Noitions
  • ticeable Loss of Weight
  • Dilated Pupils
  • Paranoia 
  • Noticeable Loss of Weight


If you see one of the following signs it could be an indication the person has begun using methamphetamines. If you see several of these signs it could be an indication that they are struggling with an addiction to methamphetamines.
