On Nov. 12, PVFD responded to a possible structure fire at the old shoe plant building on Davis street. Upon arrival there was smoke showing and additional resources where called. The fire appeared to be debris burning on the floor of a section of the building that is used for storage. Parsons VFD Chief said, “With the ignition source being undetermined. The men made great decision once again, I could not be more proud of them. The calls they made tonight saved 4-5 additional business that employ several local people”.
Co. 10 responded 18 men and seven apparatus and was assisted by Co. 40 with two trucks and three men, C0. 47 with three trucks and eight men, C0. 20 with two trucks and seven men, Tucker EMS, Tucker County Sherriff’s Dept. and Tuck . 911.
“I would also like to thank the women behind the scene the PVFD ladies auxiliary who comes out and prepares drinks and food for the men at the scene as well as at the station for after the incident they are an important part of our team”. White said.
